Scrap bags

Hi everybody,

I did a little sewing  last night and made two bags .
One from a hand painted canvas and the other from a piece of tapestry with a bird on it.
I used lots of scrap t towels ,vintage fabric and sheet fabric.
I'm pretty happy with the result .
Tell me what you think !
Ive put them for sale at the vintage emporium.
It is shopping night must go.

Inspirations and books

Hi everyone,

Ive always been an avid reader in ,fact if I'm not sewing or shopping ,(two favorite activities) I will be reading.

Minxy Vintage By Kelly Doust
This book is fantastic, this girl really gets vintage clothes and obviously wears them all the time.
She is not afraid to customise to suit her self and has some really great ideas .Definitely go check this one out.

Now every girl loves to decorate
these two gems have both
been out for a while but great for ideas.
Spaces by Frankie magazine
Decorate by Holly Becker & Joanna Copestick

And of course Ratchel Ashwell the goddess what can I say!

I can go to any country, witness great love, sorrow and of course get great Ideas .
Get to your local bookshop and have a look

Where the name came from

Hi everyone,
Several people lately have asked "where did French Vintage & Chic come from".
Well my first name is Lynette which I don't use (except family cant seem to remember ! )
It is a french name so that's the french part.
Vintage ,I'm a vintage seller and have a passion for all things vintage. (see my obsessive collections)
Chic its just one of those words that explains all things stylish and individual which is the look I hope to portray.
the collection

all very girly

flowers ,hats

perfume bottles,shoes

sparkly bits

and petti point handbags
sometimes its nice to just sit and enjoy looking at  it all.
hope you do too, cheers Lyn
