Australia Day
Happy Australia day !
I guess I like today because its not only Australia's birthday but mine also.
As I'm getting a step closer to the big 50 there's good and bad;
Bad being my body falling apart !
Good being older and hopefully wiser !
I hope every one has a happy Australia day and a good weekend.
Cheers Lyn.

Lace umbrella
Hi everyone, I seem to be really into lace at the moment and seem to be covering everything in lace.
I now have two racks of these lacy lovelies at the vintage emporium in Tyabb
Everybody seems to like them ,which is good but may be on some level this is getting in touch with my feminine side again.
But its definitely playing havoc on my lace stash.
Hope you like ! Cheers Lyn
Mixed Bag
Got the lovely Ingrid to try on some vintage. and spent time with Miss grace on her speech therapy. And of course lots of shopping ,repairing and general house hold duties.
I will be back with more soon.Cheers Lyn

The Post Office Counter
Hi everyone,
This fabulous counter has been residing in our shed for six months waiting for the right time to be repaired.Today was that day!
It originally came from werribee post office.

Pigeon holes and two large storage areas 4 at each end.
However moving it was quite difficult involving a large tandem trailer 3-4 people and a van. [ Lots of rope and slow driving indicated here]
So finally after much grunting and groaning and grace wanting to help, its now in situ.sitting majestically at Second hand heaven.
Gordon Street Mornington.
It originally came from werribee post office.
Perfect for a shop counter, or in that little nook under the stairs.
So go have a look before it goes.
Cheers Lyn.
New Year Greetings
Hi everyone,
Hope you have all recovered from the overindulges of Xmas and new years eve.
To start the new year my friend Tom and I have been collaborating on some new ideas, and hope over the next few months we will bring you some inspired furniture pieces. I will try and do some tutorials on some of them. Here's one we prepared earlier !
Memo, blackboard hey holder with some Vintage advertising bits, turned our quite well.
I think this fills that recycle need we both have.
Mr FV&c is now coming round to the idea too!
So Miss Grace is also on holidays at the moment and we have been trying to keep her active and occupied whilst working at the same time.
This has been a bit of a challenge and the ducks in the local park have been visited a lot in the last week and are very well fed and know us now. They have bought there ducklings with them much to graces delight.
We also obtained a vintage Elna sewing machine in child size from the Glen Waverley centre.
I was absolutely thrilled at this as it was the 1950s child's version of my mums sewing machine that I learnt to sew on when I was Little girl.
I remember making my dolls clothes and clothes for myself and spending every spare moment just making things.{not much really changed there}
I hope she enjoys sewing as much as I do. But at 3 and a bit the attention span is a little short .[sigh]
Cheers all Lyn
