Love Vintage fair (and yes I do!)

Hi Everyone,
Had a fabulous night last night my beloved and miss grace and I took a trip into the city to see the love vintage fair.
Yes ,I know some people get tired of hearing about  peoples off spring, but my miss Gracie really came into her own last night and deeply wanted to be on the stage with all the other pretty ladies.
I stepped up to the mark and got her a number so that she could participate in the fashion parade, dad took hold of the filming duties (on his mobile phone, apologies for skill and film quality) and off we went!
The fair is held at Melbourne's beautiful exhibition buildings
the parade showcased some stunning clothing ( none of which photographed very well, photographer not subject)
                                               fantastic hand painted Mexican skirt
The lovely Ingrid won a prize and looked beautiful in a full length evening dress
Cute combi van at the front door done up in all her vintage glory.
Unfortunately We could not stay till the end as our star Miss Gracie had had a big day and was practically falling asleep on her feet, but a good time was had by all.
If you get a chance to go along for a look its on all weekend .
                                                                         Cheers Lyn

I need to have a Bex and a lie down !

Hi Everyone,
Its been a big day Miss Grace has been getting up at five o'clock most mornings since daylight savings has finished and so my day starts then , mainly because I can't go back to sleep!
So there has been a bit of sewing and  house painting going on .
The house was painted a really ugly mushroom colour which looks really nice with the bricks but after six years of looking at it I'm a bit over it and we had to replace some guttering anyway so now I'm committed to painting the other three sides of the house.( and probably the fence too.)
so it's a nice dark grey now, only 8 windows and the front door to go (fences can wait a little longer)
                                                                 Zips and Ric-rack
                                                      mothers day lavender sachet display
all made from damaged Dolley's,hand towels and vintage bits
                                                            vintage metal zip throw
I had a huge draw full of zips and more coming in from estates
It took me a while to figure out what to do with them,It will probably never sell ,and I'm really OK with that!
so it's me off for a bex and a lie down,I'm really rather tired!
                                                                          Cheers Lyn

Things I've been doing lately...

Hi Everyone,

Its got a whole lot colder over the last two weeks here and that leads me to creative pursuits.
I've finished a nest of tables that needed painting, waxed another table priced a zillion bits of lace and fabric.
So now I get to sew!
flour sack patchwork quilt

bloomers for Miss Coco

bunting

 more bunting and patchwork curtains
moved my 1950s area

revamped 1960s,70s and 80s

scored a free cupboard (and filled it strait away)

Displayed my watch jewelery

and took Miss Grace for some fine dining.

plus did an estate yesterday and picked up some lovely linen. Tonight I have a date with my bookwork because I'm so far behind.(I really really don't love doing bookwork.  So that's my week in a nutshell.
                                               Hope your all having fun!
                                                         Cheers Lyn
